Face of Eastwing

Welcome to the Face of Eastwing / Southeast Aviation Summit 2026

Theme: “Growing Dreams: Touching Lives in Aviation through Human Development”

This flagship event which the subsidiary NGO of the institute is organizing is set to take place in August/September 2026. A purposeful gathering that targets to address this pressing challenge we can no longer ignore: the under-representation of Southeast youths in the rapidly expanding field of aviation. Despite their talents, energy, and ambition, many of our young people are held back-not by a lack of potential, but by financial limitations and lack of access to the right platforms.

We at Eastwing Youth Foundation believe that it is time to balance the equation. For too long, the Southeast has lagged in this sector- not due to inability, but due to lack of opportunity. The Face of Eastwing/Aviation Summit is designed to change that narrative. Those that will emerge as the face of Eastwing and finalist will get scholarship and other compelling prizes.

The summit includes a merit-based competition open to youths aged between 18 and 30 years, and it is designed to identify and support talented individuals from across the Southeastern states. The winner will receive full scholarships to study aviation, alongside mentorship and other life-changing prizes. More importantly, the summit aims to raise awareness about the aviation industry as a viable and exciting career path—especially in a region where access to such opportunities has historically been limited.

Highlights of Our Journey So Far – Eastwing Aviation Institute

Eastwing Aviation Institute continues to make steady progress in developing aviation opportunities for young people in Southeast Nigeria. Since its establishment, the institute has remained committed to training, mentorship, and creating pathways for youths who want to build careers in the aviation industry.

One of the major milestones recorded was the maiden edition of the Southeast Aviation Summit/Eastwing Youth Competition (SASEYC) organized by the Eastwing Youth Foundation in partnership with Eastwing Aviation Institute. The programme attracted young people from across the Southeast who were interested in aviation and related fields. Participants received training, exposure, and mentorship that helped them better understand opportunities within the aviation sector.

The event also produced outstanding participants, with the overall winner emerging after series of training sessions and screenings. The initiative was designed not just as a competition, but as a platform to guide and inspire young people toward productive and professional careers in aviation.

In addition, Eastwing Aviation Institute recently gained media attention through a live television feature discussing aviation business development in Southeast Nigeria. During the interview, key issues such as youth involvement in aviation, training opportunities, and the importance of building aviation capacity in the region were highlighted. The feature helped bring more awareness to the work being done by the institute and its partners.

These milestones reflect the growing impact of Eastwing Aviation Institute and the Eastwing Youth Foundation in promoting aviation education, youth empowerment, and regional development.

As the institute continues to expand its programmes and partnerships, more opportunities are being created for young Nigerians who are passionate about aviation and professional growth.
